Redondo Beach is one of the three Beach Cities located in the South Bay region of the greater Los Angeles area. Like its sister cities, Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach's key appeal is the vast beach that links these three cities.

The 65 ft., 140 passenger vessel "Voyager" offers whale watching excursions and sailing trips off the Palos Verdes Peninsula and Redondo Beach Canyon.

The revitalized Riviera Village located in downtown Redondo Beach offers a myriad of restaurants and shops where locals commune.
In September each year, the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce hosts the Lobster Festival at Seaside Lagoon. The festival typically brings in approximately 15,000 people to enjoy Maine lobsters, live music, dancing, a variety of food booths, three fully stocked bars and an Arts & Crafts area.
